Another Coronavirus business pivot idea: from selling travel to selling coaching

(extract from my guide to digital marketing for travel/tourism businesses)

A few weeks ago I talked to another person who is in the travel market, and she decided to pivot to offering coaching. I think this is a great Coronavirus business pivot idea.

You can do coaching over digital platforms, such as Zoom or Skype, and help people on whatever your strongest expertise is.If you are very good at sales, you could coach other travel businesses, or businesses related to travel/tourism, on how to sell their packages. I’m sure many of those businesses are looking to learn during this time. That could be another revenue stream for you to add.

If you find that it’s too difficult to sell to the travel industry, because nobody has money (which I’m sure is not the case, I’m sure travel businesses are still spending money), you could go to other markets. For example, if you’re very good at sales, you could teach sales to other businesses in other markets, which still need sales training.

So you can look for something you are passionate about, some industry you really like. It could be a good option for you to approach and sell them sales coaching.
